Virtual Tumor Board on Pregnancy-Associated Breast Cancer

Register now for this virtual tumor board about pregnancy-associated breast cancer. The case-based discussion will cover:

  • Workup for local regional staging versus distant metastatic disease while pregnant.
  • Sequencing treatment based on trimester of pregnancy when breast cancer identified.
  • Surgical considerations (early stage - primary tumor and axilla; locally advanced; reconstruction).
  • Chemotherapy considerations included HER2+ tumors.
  • Special considerations: timing of delivery during treatment; genetic mutation carriers; immediate postpartum imaging.

The clinical scenarios to be discussed will include:

  • Locally advanced vs. metastatic HER2+ breast cancer in the first trimester.
  • Early-stage breast cancer in the third trimester of pregnancy in a BRCA2 genetic carrier.
