Partners for World Health is looking for volunteers to the 3rd Annual Conference on Care of the Cancer Patient at the National Institute of Cancer and Research Hospital in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Specifically:
1 GYN ONC, 1 Breast Cancer Surgeon, 1 GI Surgeon and 1 Head and Neck Surgeon, 1-2 Medical Oncologists and 1 Palliative Care Specialist.This
6-day conference is planned to provide education and training to physicians and nurses on non-communicable diseases, care of the cancer patient, medication administration, wound care education and infection control. In addition, surgical intervention with consultation (both in-patient and out-patient) will be provided. Outreach to provide education to Bangladesh women about breast self-exam and breast cancer will be provided at the community level. Surgeons will have 4 surgical days at the NICRH and Dhaka Medical College in addition to the expectation of delivering educational PowerPoint presentations to clinical audiences.
